Reciprocating Compressors
SEMI-HERMETIC
Universal and environmentally friendly: ECOLINE reciprocating compressors offer high cooling capacity with minimal energy requirements and are optimised for HFC, HFO and low-GWP refrigerants. The optional VARISTEP mechanical capacity control offers high part-load efficiency in medium and low temperature application.
SEMI-HERMETIC WITH INNOVATIVE MOTOR TECHNOLOGY
The ECOLINE+ series is a further-developed version of the proven reciprocating compressors. By using the refrigerant CO2, innovative line-start permanent-magnet motors and optional intelligent electronics, the series achieves the highest energy efficiency values possible.
SEMI-HERMETIC 2-STAGE
The 2-stage reciprocating compressors are designed for an extensive application range and boast an optimised drive gear and efficient motor. The highly reliable semi-hermetic series is designed to be robust and suitable for a variety of refrigerants.
OPEN
Open drive reciprocating compressors are available in two model series: for (H)CFC/HFC refrigerants and ammonia. Due to the open drive design, standard motors can be attached to the compressor via coupling housing or belt drive. Reliability and easy maintenance have made them popular options for years.
OPEN 2-STAGE
The open drive, 2-stage reciprocating compressors are optimised for the low temperature refrigeration range. With the optional liquid subcooler, they significantly increase the cooling capacity and efficiency of the entire system. Standard motors can be attached to the compressor via coupling housing or belt drive.
Screw Compressors
SEMI-HERMETIC
Efficient, robust, durable: thanks to the HSK/N version, HS semi-hermetic screw compressors are suitable for many application ranges and refrigerants. The internal capacity control is multistep and, from HS.85, stepless as an optional feature. All HS compressors are suitable for speed-controlled operation. From HS.95 with IQ MODULE.
OPEN
The OS series separates the flanged motor and refrigerant circuit. Thanks to the OSK/N version, these compressors are suitable for many application ranges and refrigerants, with a separate series for operation with ammonia. The internal capacity control is multistep and, from OS.85, stepless as an optional feature. All OS compressors are suitable for speed-controlled operation. From OS.95 with IQ MODULE.
SEMI-HERMETIC FREQUENCY-CONTROLLED
The CSV series is optimised for maximum efficiency in liquid chillers and heat pumps with frequency-controlled capacity adjustment. The internal frequency inverter enables a large spectrum of applications and a broad range of control, which simplifies system integration. The CSV series also accommodates all the IQ functions.
SEMI-HERMETIC COMPACT
The compact CS series features mechanical capacity control, which enables very good efficiency and simple system integration. The finely graded models of the CS series are optimised for a large application range in liquid chillers and heat pumps. From CS.105 with IQ module.
HERMETIC COMPACT
Based on decades of experience, these series are designed for the specific needs of railway air-conditioning systems. Thanks to generously sized roller bearings, the compressors are exceptionally reliable with a long service life. Their large frequency range provides optimal full- and part-load efficiency.
Scroll Compressors
HERMETIC
Hermetic scroll compressors are used particularly in air conditioning and heat pump applications. They offer high cooling capacity, reliability, exceptional energy efficiency and low noise levels.
ORBIT+
The new ORBIT+ scroll compressor series features a line start permanent magnet (LSPM) motor for highest efficiency requirements and enables customers to fulfill the highest energy efficiency standards in air conditioning applications like chillers and heat pumps.
ORBIT FIT
The ORBIT FIT series is the new ORBIT series with Flexible Injection Technology for economiser operation for improved efficiency, increased capacity and enlarged application envelopes.
ORBIT TANDEM/TRIO
All ORBIT series can be combined flexibly in numerous tandem and trio configurations with the use of the BITZER Advanced Header Technology (BAHT). Next to the reliable oil management, the technology also enables capacity modulation by on-off operation of several compressors.

WITHOUT COMPRESSOR
These air cooled condensing units with large heat transfer surface are equipped with EC fans and refrigerant receiver. Thanks to the individual options for combining compressor and condenser, they’re especially versatile and can be adapted for any requirements.

The condensing unit series for maximum efficiency in full and part-load operation. Highly efficient components, unique controller functions, plug-and-play concept, BEST Software, web server, Ecodesign compliance and the use of low-GWP refrigerants leave nothing to be desired.
Heat Exchangers and Pressure Vessels
WATER-COOLED CONDENSERS
Five series of water cooled condensers with a standard capacity of up to 1,680 kW satisfy all condensation needs with versions for normal/technical water and for seawater. HFC, HFO, HFC/HFO blends, propane and NH3 can be used as refrigerants. A complete selection of pressure vessel approvals and certifications for stationary and marine applications is available.
SHELL AND TUBE EVAPORATORS
Dry-expansion evaporators designed with ‘U-tube’ or with a single-pass design, combined with patented refrigerant distribution systems, offer the best performance and the lowest approach between evaporation temperature and water-leaving temperature for positive, medium and low (down to –40°C) applications. A selection of materials and a wide approval choice is available. Flooded evaporators offer the highest efficiency available in the industry.
LIQUID RECEIVERS
The horizontal and vertical liquid receivers are available for HFC/(H)CFC refrigerants, ammonia, hydrocarbons and carbon dioxide and fulfil the various requirements of refrigeration and air-conditioning technology. Operating temperatures of –10°C to 120°C are possible with a maximum allowable pressure of 45 bar.
OIL SEPARATORS
A complete range of vertical and horizontal solutions that ensure perfect oil separation during full- and part-load operation for single compressors and compound systems. Versions are available for HFC, HFO, HFC/HFO blends or for NH3, with one, two or three steps, or for operation with flooded systems.
OIL COOLERS
.BITZER offers five condenser series that can be used in HFC and HFO systems. Notably low approach performances can be reached with standard capacities of up to 1680 kW. Water cooled and air cooled oil coolers ensure additional cooling, with low pressure drop values and reduced energy consumption.

With the ACP.85 and the ACP.95, series of screw compressor packages designed specifically for ammonia, BITZER has expanded to meet the demands of the industrial and commercial market. It is available with a wide variety of options and accessories to meet the growing demand for high efficient, natural refrigerant solutions.
ELECTRONIC COMPONENTS
IQ MODULE
BITZER IQ modules are what turns your BITZER product into an intelligent compressor. They have been developed to simplify your work and improve its results and distinguish themselves by three main characteristics: availability, efficiency and communication. ECOLINE reciprocating compressors of the C3 series or later installed at the Schkeuditz factory will come with the IQ MODULE CM-RC-02. It simplifies and optimises compressor installation, operation, maintenance and retrofitting for refrigeration, air conditioning and heat pump systems.
FREQUENCY INVERTERS
BITZER frequency inverters have been designed for safe and easy speed control and are specially modified for refrigeration and for the operation of BITZER compressors. They are impressively user-friendly, reliable and highly energy efficient, they adjust to ideally suit the system’s current cooling requirements and reduce both energy consumption and running costs.
